As a pastor, I have three goals for every person who comes to Ellaville Baptist Church. These goals are for the first time guest and for the member of twenty years. 

 

1. KNOW Christ. My primary goal for everyone is to have a saving, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This means I will always present the gospel: the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; and give you an opportunity to trust Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and eternal life.

 

2. GROW in Christ. My desire is that you grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ in three areas:

a. Membership. All Christians have been called to be part of a local body of believers.

b. Worship. We worship God through serving Him, and serving Him is an act of worship. Worship is both corporate and private. Corporately we gather to sing praises to Him, to pray, to give, and to listen to the preaching of His Word. Privately we worship in our quiet time with the Lord every day, in both our prayer time and in our study time of His word. Our weekly gathering of worship should simply be an outflow and continuation of our daily private time with Him.

c. Discipleship. ALL Christians have been made to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus CHrist. Growth is intentional and must be pursued as we serve the Lord to His glory.

 

3. GO with Christ. My desire is that all members of Ellaville Baptist Church actively share their faith locally, serve the community locally to demonstrate the love of Christ, and go on mission for Him to the ends of the earth.
